At the heart of Parker Dugout,

is Brad Wright.

A former professional baseball player turned founder, head coach, and trainer, with a deep love for the game and a passion for developing the next generation of athletes.

Who is brad wright?

Brad Wright’s baseball journey took root at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he stood out not only as a gifted athlete, but as a leader both on and off the field. As a proud UCSB Gaucho, Brad’s relentless work ethic, discipline, and deep passion for the game quickly earned him respect among coaches and teammates alike.

During his senior year, Brad took a young freshman under his wing—Ryan Spilborghs, who would later go on to play in the Major Leagues himself. Brad’s mentorship extended far beyond batting cages and dugouts. He helped Ryan navigate the mental side of the game, the pressures of college ball, and the importance of preparation, consistency, and composure.

That moment of mentorship wasn’t a one-time act—it was the spark that revealed Brad’s natural gift for coaching. The two stayed in touch as they both continued their baseball journeys, eventually making it to the Major Leagues.

Brad’s time at UCSB shaped not just his skills as a player, but his mindset as a teacher of the game. It’s where his passion for helping others through baseball first came to life.

What Sets Coach Brad Apart:

  • Former Professional athlete with real-game insight

  • Expert in hitting, fielding, and position-specific training

  • Known for motivating players to push past limits—on and off the field

  • Dedicated to building not just skills, but character, confidence & work ethic

From youth athletes to high school hopefuls and college-bound competitors, Brad believes every player has potential—and his mission is to unlock it.

Brad channels that same passion into coaching players of all ages and levels. Whether he’s guiding youth teams, working one-on-one with competitive athletes, or stepping in to support aspiring college players, Brad brings a unique blend of professional experience, genuine leadership, and love for the game that leaves a lasting impact on everyone he coaches.

Drafted by the New York Mets in the 26th round of the 1999 MLB Draft, Brad played multiple positions—Left Field, First Base, and Right Field—bringing power from the left side of the plate and a strong left-handed arm in the field. His athleticism, versatility, and gritty determination made him a standout on every roster he joined.

Brad is a proud alumnus of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he excelled both academically and athletically before going pro. With years of experience playing at the highest level, he now brings that same intensity, discipline, and insider knowledge to every player who walks through the doors of Parker Dugout.

“Talent might get you noticed, but hustle, heart, and discipline will get you results.”

“Baseball players require a community to help them grow. It takes years of time, from practice to games, to rides in the car. To get better means to fail, and to keep playing because of the passion for the game. My baseball journey could not have happened without great coaches, teammates and a support system of family and friends. Brad Wright is helping create that community for players and their family. In college at UCSB, Brad was a senior, and he helped me as a redshirt freshman. Brad taught me how to play a new position, and without his investment into my career as a friend and teammate, I would never have been a successful college player, let alone make it to the major leagues. Every player needs someone like Brad, a coach and a friend, a mentor that can help get the most out of your abilities.”
